Mumbai, Nov 24 (NationPress) The passing of superstar Dharmendra has reverberated throughout the nation.

Numerous Bollywood icons who admired the actor for his remarkable talent and character took to their social media platforms to express their condolences and tributes.

Actor Ibrahim Ali Khan, who had the privilege of collaborating with Dharmendra in the upcoming 2024 film Rocky Aur Rani, shared a heartfelt message on his social media account. Khan served as an Assistant Director on this project. The young actor also highlighted how his mother, Amrita Singh, entered Bollywood largely due to Dharmendra's influence.

He expressed, “Some individuals are not merely stars on screen; they alter the trajectory of lives.” Expanding on how the late actor introduced his mother to the film industry, Ibrahim stated, “Dharam Ji discovered my mother in Delhi when she was just 16, entrusting her with her debut film Betaab. Without him, she might have never left Delhi… and we might not even be here.”

Khan attributed their family's acting legacy to Dharmendra, stating, “It’s astonishing to realize that our entire journey, our family, our presence in this industry, all began because of him. A man whose kindness shaped destinies.” He further added, “Dharam Ji, you were incredibly handsome, effortlessly charming, and truly timeless. Thank you for the invaluable wisdom you imparted to me; I will cherish your words for the rest of my life. My thoughts are with the entire Deol family. May they find strength during this challenging time.”

In his farewell message to the legendary actor, Ibrahim wrote, “Rest in peace, sir. Your legacy will endure forever,” accompanied by a dove, a red heart, and clasped hands emojis. For those unaware, Ibrahim Ali Khan's mother, Amrita Singh, made her Bollywood debut with Betaab in 1983, starring alongside Dharmendra's elder son, Sunny Deol, who also debuted in the same film.

The movie was produced by Vijayta Films, the Deol family's home production, and became a massive hit. Reflecting on Dharmendra, the beloved star passed away on November 24.

His cremation took place at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Vile Parle, Mumbai, later that afternoon.

Several prominent figures from the Bollywood industry attended the funeral to pay their final respects to the legendary He-Man of Bollywood.
