Actor Sharad Kapoor Faces FIR for Alleged Sexual Harassment and Indecent Behavior

Mumbai, Nov 30 (NationPress) A legal complaint has been lodged against actor Sharad Kapoor, famed for his performances in ‘Josh’, ‘LOC Kargil', ‘Lakshya’, and more, concerning allegations of misconduct and inappropriately touching a woman.
According to the Khar police in Mumbai, a 32-year-old woman reported the case. She detailed the incident, claiming that the actor invited her to his residence, where he allegedly attempted to misbehave and forcibly touched her inappropriately.
The victim stated that she connected with Sharad Kapoor through Facebook, and after some video calls, he expressed a desire to meet her to discuss an upcoming project. Subsequently, he sent her a location, instructing her to visit an office in Khar; however, upon arrival, she discovered it was not an office but his home.
Upon entering the building, she was greeted by a man at the door, while Sharad called from inside, requesting her to come to his bedroom. Later that evening, he sent her a WhatsApp message using obscene language. The victim shared her experience with a friend, who then contacted the local Khar police station to file a complaint against the actor.
No official comment has been released by the actor regarding the allegations. An FIR has been filed against Sharad Kapoor under sections 74 (Assault or use of criminal force against a woman), 75 (sexual harassment), and 79 (insult the modesty of any woman) of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita.
