Mumbai, March 9 (NationPress) Actress Adah Sharma took to her social media platform to disclose that a producer verbally assaulted her manager regarding scheduling conflicts for a film.

In a video shared on her official Instagram account, Adah explained that she was engaged in the production of three films. However, the dates for the first film kept shifting, causing a clash with her commitments to the other two projects.

Despite this, the producer of the first film persistently pressured Adah's manager to secure the same dates, resorting to inappropriate language during the exchange.

"He insisted, 'no matter what, I want these dates.' My manager questioned him, 'are you certain?' He affirmed, 'yes, I want these dates. I'm certain. They cannot be altered,'" Adah recounted.

Fortunately, when the directors of the other two films became aware of the situation, they kindly agreed to adjust their schedules without causing any fuss. The producer of the third film even had to reschedule the entire cast due to Adah's involvement.

"You may have heard that the industry is filled with ill-mannered individuals. However, I want to emphasize that there are indeed good people out there. Not everyone is rude," Adah remarked.

Once everything seemed resolved, the producer of the first film abruptly stated that he no longer required those dates, leaving Adah without work for a month.

Sharing her distress with her followers, Adah concluded her post by expressing, "My life is in shambles. I have been completely idle for a month—emotionally, mentally, professionally, and financially."

Previously, Adah, who received acclaim for her role in The Kerala Story, discussed her absence from the film's sequel.

She stated, "I enjoy discussing films I am part of. When I’m not involved, it feels inappropriate to speak about it merely to stay in the spotlight. Whether I was offered the sequel or not is a matter that should remain between the filmmakers and the actor, not something to be publicly debated. The first installment dealt with ISIS camps in Afghanistan, illustrating how an innocent girl becomes a terrorist. Part 2 follows a completely different narrative."

Point of View

This incident underscores the often tumultuous dynamics within the film industry.
