Los Angeles, July 12 (NationPress) Singer Adam Levine has officially announced that he is finished with getting tattoos and shared the underlying reason for this decision.
During a conversation with Today.com, the frontman of Maroon 5 reflected on his extensive body art, mentioning that his most recent tattoo was an enhancement to his left arm sleeve.
While the artist described the experience of acquiring new tattoos as "fun," he admitted that the entire process can be quite "painful," according to reports from people.com.
“I covered up my sleeve with another sleeve. Who does that? What is wrong with me? Psychotic,” Levine remarked.
He emphasized that his latest tattoo session was exceptionally painful, leading him to conclude that he is "kind of done with the pain."
"Now, I've softened. Now, when I get a tattoo, I’m like, ‘This hurts so badly.’ Like, ‘What’s wrong?’ We’re done,” he stated.
When asked about his favorite tattoo, Levine mentioned that there were "too many" to choose from but ultimately highlighted the ones on his hands, which spell out "true love" across his fingers.
Levine serves as the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and the only consistent member of the pop rock band Maroon 5. He began his musical journey in 1994 with the band Kara's Flowers, where he was the lead vocalist and guitarist.
After their sole album, The Fourth World, didn't perform well commercially, the group reformed in 2001 as Maroon 5, with James Valentine stepping in as lead guitarist.
In 2002, they launched their debut album, Songs About Jane, which achieved multi-platinum status in the US. Since then, they have released six additional albums: It Won't Be Soon Before Long, Hands All Over, Overexposed, V, Red Pill Blues, and Jordi.
As part of Maroon 5, Levine has garnered numerous accolades, including three Grammy Awards. He also experienced significant commercial success as a solo artist with his guest feature on Gym Class Heroes' 2011 hit "Stereo Hearts," which reached the top five on the Billboard Hot 100.
