Mumbai, July 29 (NationPress) Choreographer-turned-director Ahmed Khan has had the unique opportunity to work with all three of Bollywood's iconic Khans: Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Salman Khan.
“Collaborating with these legends has been an extraordinary journey. I felt like I was growing up alongside them while also working together in a professional capacity,” he reflected.
Ahmed has choreographed the Mr. Perfectionist in films like Rangeela and Ghajini, among others. When discussing his experience with Aamir, he noted that Aamir strives to perfect every single dance step, regardless of how challenging it may be.
Recalling his days on set with Aamir, Ahmed shared, “I first worked with Aamir in Rangeela, where he attempted dance for the first time. Later, during our collaboration on Ghajini for the track ‘Behka Mein Behka,’ his commitment stood out; he was always keen to refine each dance move, no matter how intricate it was.”
Previously, Ahmed had shared a touching story from the shoot of the song ‘Chaand Taare’ in the 1997 film Yes Boss with Shah Rukh Khan. He recounted, “We were filming at Bandstand near Mannat, which wasn’t the iconic location it is today. I vividly remember making Shah Rukh jump onto a Parsi vehicle, and when things went awry, the guard asked us to move on. Shah Rukh jokingly asked if he should buy the vehicle, and I encouraged him to do so, which ultimately led to a great shoot. This experience taught me that saying the right thing can lead to the best outcomes, and you can see how that moment is reflected in the song today.”
Looking ahead, Ahmed is set to direct the fifth installment of the highly anticipated 'Welcome' series, titled Welcome to the Jungle, featuring an impressive cast including Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta, Arshad Warsi, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sanjay Dutt, Disha Patani, Suniel Shetty, and Raveena Tandon.
