Ana de Armas Negotiating a Role in 'Avengers: Doomsday'

Los Angeles, Dec 22 (NationPress) The Cuban-American actress Ana de Armas is currently in discussions for a mysterious role in the upcoming superhero film 'Avengers: Doomsday'.
This anticipated entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is set to conclude the multiverse saga when it premieres in 2026. Reports from ‘Female First UK’ suggest that the actress, known for her role in the James Bond film 'No Time To Die', is in negotiations for the project.
Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman hinted that de Armas could be part of 'Doomsday', although he did not specify the character she may portray. Additionally, ‘TheWrap’ has indicated that Chris Evans, who famously played Captain America from 'Captain America: The First Avenger' in 2011 to 'Avengers: Endgame' eight years later, is also being considered for a role in 'Doomsday'.
Details remain unclear about which character Evans might embody, especially after his recent appearance as Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, in 'Deadpool and Wolverine'.
As confirmed by ‘Female First UK’, alongside Ana de Armas and Evans, Hayley Atwell and Anthony Mackie are set to reprise their roles as Agent Peggy Carter and Sam Wilson, respectively. Furthermore, Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach are also slated to appear in the film.
‘Avengers: Doomsday’ will feature the return of Robert Downey Jr., who is set to portray the villainous Doctor Doom. Downey Jr., who brought the character to life from the 2008 film until 'Avengers: Endgame', revealed during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con that he would take on the role of the antagonist.
In a conversation on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast, he shared, “Susan and I were sitting down with Feige at one point, and he said, 'It just keeps occurring to me that, if you were to come back.’ And Susan was like, ‘Wait, wait, come back as what?’ And then we both realized, over time, that it was another thing that just disproves any doubt anyone could ever have about that guy.”
He further elaborated, “(Kevin Feige is) a very sophisticated, creative thinker about, ‘How can we not go backwards? How can we not disappoint expectations? How can we continue to beat expectations?’ And he brought up Victor von Doom, and I looked into (the character, and I was like, ‘Wow.’ And later on, he goes, ‘Let's get Victor von Doom right. Let's get that right’.”
Directed by the talented duo Joe and Anthony Russo, 'Avengers: Doomsday' and its sequel 'Avengers: Secret Wars' are highly anticipated, following their success with 'Endgame' and 'Infinity War', as well as 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' and its sequel 'Civil War'.
