Mumbai, Oct 4 (NationPress) Anupam Kher had the pleasure of meeting his “dearest friend” Shankar Mahadevan aboard a flight, where the renowned musician dedicated the Shiva Stotram to the actor.

On Saturday, Anupam shared a delightful video on Instagram from the flight. In the footage, he enthusiastically states: “Look who is flying with me, the amazing Shankar. It’s always a joy to meet you, my favorite!”

The video transitions to Shankar, who begins to sing the Shiva Stotram, mentioning: “I sing this whenever I see him because his presence energizes me.”

Anupam then adds: “Whenever I post about my workouts or pooja, this song is always included. You have incredible energy, and we both look good today. I can even see your reflection!”

He also praised Shankar for his new “wonderful restaurant” in Dubai and Mumbai, promising to visit soon. “It’s an authentic South Indian restaurant, and I’m thrilled to sit with you. You’re an amazing person,” Anupam concluded.

In his caption, he expressed: “Meeting my cherished friend and the talented musician is always a pleasure. I adore his positive energy and the #ShivTandav he performed! Best wishes for your new South Indian culinary adventure! Om Namah Shivay! #Friends #Happy.”

On the professional front, Anupam’s film “Tanvi The Great” was recently re-released in theaters. He shared a video discussing the significance of second chances, revealing that he was almost replaced by actor Sanjeev Kumar.

“Hello friends, I want to share my belief in second chances. Sometimes they are more valuable than the first. Many may not realize that I received a second chance in my life before entering the film industry,” Anupam remarked.

He recounted a personal story about being removed from Mahesh Bhatt’s Saaransh just ten days prior to production, with Sanjeev Kumar stepping in his place.

“I was part of Saaransh and was let go just ten days before shooting. Sanjeev Kumar was brought on board. I approached Mr. Mahesh Bhatt and argued, ‘You’re creating a film about truth. I’ve been rehearsing for six months. How can you do this to me?’ I fought hard and shed many tears,” Anupam shared.

The film features a talented cast including Jackie Shroff, Arvind Swami, Boman Irani, Pallavi Joshi, Karan Tacker, Nasser, alongside Anupam Kher and Iain Glen.

“Tanvi The Great” tells the story of a 21-year-old woman on the autism spectrum living with her mother and grandfather. Inspired by her late father, Captain Samar Raina, an Indian Army officer, she dreams of saluting the flag at the Siachen Glacier.
