Mumbai, March 21 (NationPress) Actress Anupama Solanki is set to appear in Shemaroo TV's "Jamuniya". Thrilled about her role in this series, she revealed that it is the most ambitious and eagerly awaited project of her career.
Anupama shared, "Discussions for this project with the casting team began back in September, but I was officially cast for this Shemaroo Umang TV show, Jamuniya, in November. I finalized the agreement with Shoonya Square Production House in December, and filming commenced in February 2025. I am incredibly excited about my upcoming show, Shemaroo Jamuniya."
She also highlighted that the narrative addresses society's obsession with fair skin. She stated, "People are often judged by their skin tone, and this obsession is particularly pronounced in the entertainment field, where television and film actresses go to great lengths for fair skin. Many resort to skin whitening treatments, fairness creams, and even cosmetic surgery to achieve the so-called ideal fair complexion."
Regarding her character in "Jamuniya", Anupama disclosed, "For the first time in my career, I am stepping into a comedic role. In my past shows, such as Nath Krishna Aur Gauri Ki Kahani and Kuch Reet Jagat Ki Aisi Hai on Sony TV and Dangal TV, I played vamp roles. But in this new series, viewers will experience multiple dimensions of my character. It's a full comedy with a vibrant and entertaining plot."
