Chennai, Nov 8 (NationPress) Director Krish Thirukumaran's highly anticipated action-packed entertainer, 'Retta Thala', starring Arun Vijay in the lead role, is set to release globally on December 18, as confirmed by the film's producers.

This film has generated significant excitement as Arun Vijay will portray two distinct characters in this gripping action thriller.

In an exclusive interview with IANS, the actor mentioned, 'Retta Thala' is an intense action thriller that explores the complexities of human nature, revealing the shades of grey that exist within everyone.

A teaser unveiled by the filmmakers provided a sneak peek into the gripping narrative and introduced the two characters played by Arun Vijay. One of the characters is named Malpe Upendra, while Arun Vijay also revealed to IANS that the second character he embodies is named Kali.

He explained, 'We revealed only one character's name in the teaser. The other character that I portray is Kali. It has been quite challenging to portray these demanding roles, especially after suffering a serious ACL injury during my previous film, 'Vanangaan'.

In a previous interview, Arun Vijay shared, 'Bala sir wanted me to adopt a flabby appearance for Vanangaan, so I refrained from exercising for almost a year and a half. Unfortunately, I also suffered significant injuries, including an ACL tear in my left knee, which hindered my ability to train. However, Director Kris Thirukumaran was incredibly supportive, allowing me time to recover and train by filming the dialogue scenes first.'

Directed by Kris Thirukumaran, the film also stars Siddhi Idnani, Tanya Ravichandran, Yogi Samy, John Vijay, Hareesh Peradi, and Balaji Murugadoss in key roles.

The film features a remarkable technical crew, with music by Sam CS and cinematography by Tijo Tomy. The editing is done by Anthony, and Arunshankar Durai is responsible for the art direction. Known for its action sequences, the stunts are choreographed by P.C.Stunts, while costumes are designed by Kiruthika Sekar, with Suren R and Bobby Antony choreographing the songs.
