Los Angeles, April 24 (NationPress) Iranian director Asghar Farhadi is preparing to make his way back to Paris for his upcoming film, ‘Parallel Tales’. While the storyline remains a secret, the film boasts an impressive French ensemble, featuring Isabelle Huppert, Virginie Efira, Vincent Cassel, Pierre Niney, and Adam Bessa.
Legendary French actress Catherine Deneuve is also set to grace the screen in this film, according to a report by Variety.
This project signifies Farhadi’s return to Paris after a twelve-year hiatus since his initial French-language directorial effort with ‘The Past’.
According to Variety, the film is being produced by his longtime associate Alexandre Mallet-Guy, alongside Farhadi and David Levine. It will be showcased by Charades and UTA Independent Film Group at the forthcoming Cannes Film Market.
Charades will manage international sales, while UTA Independent Film Group will oversee U.S. distribution. Farhadi is slated to commence production on ‘Parallel Tales’ in Paris this fall.
