Chennai, March 11 (NationPress) Director Ashwath Marimuthu, who recently released a blockbuster titled ‘Dragon’, has confirmed that his upcoming film starring actor Simbu in the lead role is set to hit theaters next year, regardless of when filming commences this year.
During a recent event, Ashwath was queried by the event hosts regarding the start date for the shooting of his highly anticipated film featuring Silambarasan, also known as Simbu.
The hosts indicated they had heard rumors about the film's shooting beginning in August this year. In response, Ashwath stated, “I cannot confirm if it will be in August or September, but I assure you that the film will release next year. It is scheduled for next summer.”
He mentioned that he plans to start the preparations for the film by the end of March and revealed that the script is already completed. “The script is finished; only the screenplay and dialogues need to be crafted. The overall treatment is complete,” he explained.
Ashwath expressed his admiration for actor Silambarasan, saying, “More than commencing my film, I’m eager for his film to be released. That's why I advised him to take on another project while we finalize ours. This led to him agreeing to do #STR49. It was a mutual decision after our discussion. Ultimately, his fans deserve happiness.”
When asked about the genre of his collaboration with Silambarasan, Ashwath replied, “You will find elements you enjoyed in my films ‘Dragon’ and ‘Oh My Kaduvule’ in this one. Moreover, it will showcase all the aspects you appreciate about him. Essentially, it will be a classic STR wrapped in my filmmaking style.”
The film is set to be produced by AGS, the same production company behind ‘Dragon’.
