Chennai, Feb 3 (NationPress) On the occasion of actor Silambarasan's birthday, director Ashwath Marimuthu has revealed that the title of their upcoming film will commence with the letter 'I'.
Ashwath Marimuthu, who is set to direct Simbu's next project following the completion of director Vetrimaran's 'Arasan', shared a heartfelt birthday message on his X timeline for the actor.
He expressed, "Happy birthday ST(A)R. This year is going to be magnificent for you, sir. I eagerly await the start of our film after 'Arasan'. To all his fans, please bear with us. An entertaining film, especially for the fans, is on the way! The title will begin with 'I'."
Last year, Ashwath Marimuthu, known for his blockbuster 'Dragon', stated that his next film featuring Simbu in the lead role would definitely be released next year (in 2026), regardless of when filming begins.
In March of last year, Ashwath mentioned that the script for the film was already finalized. “The script is complete; only the screenplay and dialogues remain to be written. The overall treatment is ready,” he noted.
When inquired about the film's genre, Ashwath replied, “You can expect elements you enjoyed in my previous films like 'Dragon' and 'Oh My Kaduvule'. This film will also highlight the qualities you admire in him. Essentially, it will be a vintage STR within my cinematic style.”
The film will be produced by AGS, the same production house behind 'Dragon'.
Ashwath Marimuthu has also assembled a team of assistant directors for his upcoming projects #STR51 and #AGS27. He clarified that none of the nine selected assistants have personal ties to him or anyone he knows, ensuring a transparent selection process.
Last year, he took to his X platform to announce his assistant directors, sharing a poster that read, "Team Ashwath Marimuthu. Welcome aboard assistant directors!" He named Srikanth, Mohammed Asif, Arun Kumar, Nithish S, Dhina, Nithish B, Krish, Srinath, and Aniruth as part of his team.
Alongside the announcement, he extended his best wishes to all talented applicants who were not selected, expressing confidence that they would find better opportunities in the future.
