Mumbai, July 31 (NationPress) Filmmakers Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Shoojit Sircar have been appointed as the jury for the Short Film Competition at the 2025 Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM).
Recognized for her works like Nil Battey Sannata and Bareilly Ki Barfi, Ashwiny expressed, “It’s a tremendous privilege to serve on the jury for IFFM’s Short Film Competition. Short films are a compelling medium of storytelling, often infused with innovative concepts and bold viewpoints.”
“I am enthusiastic about experiencing narratives that embody truth, creativity, and the fervor of budding filmmakers,” she further stated.
Accompanying her is the National Award-winning director, Shoojit Sircar, known for his notable films such as Piku, October, and Sardar Udham.
He remarked, “IFFM is a fantastic platform uniting talent from across the world, and I am thrilled to be part of this year's short film jury.
