Mumbai, Jan 3 (NationPress) Actress Athiya Shetty, who is set to welcome her first child, is filled with excitement for the year 2025.
On Thursday, she took to Instagram to share a spontaneous snapshot with her husband, cricketer KL Rahul. The black-and-white image captures the couple together in a cozy pose. In the following video, Athiya can be seen walking side by side with her husband, proudly showcasing her baby bump. The third image features a heartfelt message: “Slow down, often count your blessings, be kind to your heart, believe in new beginnings.”
In her caption, the expecting mother expressed, “2025, looking forward to you.”
Recently, the ‘Hero’ actress was spotted in Australia, displaying her growing bump with pride.
The couple revealed their pregnancy news in November last year. KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty joyfully announced their first child on social media with a touching note that said, “Our beautiful blessing is coming soon. 2025 (baby feet emojis).”
They tied the knot in a close-knit ceremony at Suniel Shetty's farmhouse in Khandala in January 2023, surrounded by family and friends. The couple reportedly met through a mutual friend in 2019. Since announcing their pregnancy, they have maintained a low profile.
On the professional front, Athiya Shetty made her Bollywood debut in 2015 alongside Sooraj Pancholi in the film “Hero”, directed by Nikhil Advani. This romantic action film was a remake of Subhash Ghai's classic from 1983.
Athiya has also starred in films such as "Mubarakan", featuring Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor, along with “Motichoor Chaknachoor”. Directed by Debamitra Biswal, this film marked her last appearance on screen alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Since that time, she has taken a step back from acting to concentrate on her family life.
