Mumbai, Feb 1 (NationPress) Sooraj R. Barjatya's Rajshri Productions is set to make its mark in the OTT landscape with the upcoming series Bada Naam Karenge. In an exclusive interview with IANS, the esteemed filmmaker was queried, "Why do some directors hesitate to join the OTT revolution? What motivated your entry into this domain?"

In response, the director of Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! shared, "There are specific narratives that can be effectively conveyed in just two and a half hours. Given our experience in creating television series, we understand the necessity of multiple episodes to unfold a storyline. Thus, we require a platform to narrate our tales. My elder son, Devansh, manages our television projects and has been eager for us to venture into OTT. Though we've aimed for this for a while, we are thrilled to finally debut with Bada Naam Karenge. In my opinion, a creator shouldn't be constrained by the screen size; in this era, all mediums are equivalent. Our primary goal should be to present our story in the most compelling way. We are, at heart, storytellers.

Expressing his enthusiasm for Rajshri Productions' entry into the OTT realm, Sooraj R. Barjatya remarked, "Bada Naam Karenge is a heartfelt project that honors family values, aspirations, and respect for traditions in a contemporary setting. It connects different generations, showcasing that Gen Z can pursue their ambitions while remaining firmly anchored in their values. Palash has successfully brought this vision to life, blending classic charm with vibrant new energy."

The series Bada Naam Karenge boasts an impressive cast, including Ritik Ghanshani, Ayesha Kaduskar, Kanwaljeet Singh, Alka Amin, Rajesh Jais, Chitrali Lokesh, Deepika Amin, Jameel Khan, Rajesh Tailang, Anjana Sukhani, Sadhika Sayal, Gyanendra Tripathi, Priyamvada Kant, Omm Dubey, and Bhavesh Babani.

Directed by the acclaimed Palash Vaswani, known for Gullak, Bada Naam Karenge is scheduled to premiere on Sony LIV on February 7.
