Mumbai, May 2 (NationPress) Former Bigg Boss 7 contestant Ajaz Khan is once again facing backlash over his explicit show House Arrest. The president of Maharashtra BJP Mahila Morcha, Chitra Wagh, has called for a ban on this reality series, labeling it as nothing but the epitome of vulgarity.
Chitra Wagh took to X, previously known as Twitter, sharing a clip from the show where Ajaz engages contestants in conversations of an inappropriate nature, prompting them to enact suggestive scenes.
She stated: “Stop giving a free pass to obscenity in the name of freedom of expression! Ban Ajaz Khan's show 'House Arrest'.”
According to Wagh, “The show 'House Arrest' by Ajaz Khan, who refers to himself as an actor, is the epitome of vulgarity. This show, available on the Ullu app, features clips that are widely circulated on social media, and they are highly offensive. Such content is easily accessible on children's mobile devices.”
She argues that such programs degrade cultural values and adversely affect the psychological well-being of upcoming generations.
“These types of shows are not only an insult to our culture, but also a threat to the moral fabric of our society. They represent a disturbing attack on the minds of younger generations.”
Chitra Wagh has urged the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Ashwini Vaishnaw, to impose a ban on such applications.
“I appeal to the Honourable Minister of Information and Broadcasting, @AshwiniVaishnaw, to promptly ban not just the Ullu app, but all similar platforms that produce this kind of content. 'House Arrest' is not just mere entertainment—it is a direct assault on the values of our society!”
Ajaz Khan, known for films like Rakta Charitra and Allah Ke Banday, has also appeared in various television shows, including Rahe Tera Aashirwaad and Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki. He participated in the Salman Khan-hosted “Bigg Boss 7” in 2013.
