Director of “Chameli”, Sudhir Mishra, expressed his thoughts on X, previously known as Twitter, stating: “Pritish Nandy changed my life. Only he could create Hazaaron Khwahishen Aisi. He imparted so much knowledge to me. I am truly sorry, Pritish Da, for not coming up with a sequel idea.”

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta shared a heartfelt message on X, stating: “This is such sorrowful news. One of my most personal projects has lost a significant patron. You lived a full life, Mr. Nandy. I will miss you dearly. My deepest condolences to the family.”

Sharing a black-and-white photo of Pritish, actor Anil Kapoor expressed his shock at the loss of his dear friend.

Anil wrote: “I am stunned and heartbroken by the news of my beloved friend Pritish Nandy’s passing. A fearless editor, a courageous individual, and a man of integrity, he was unparalleled.”

Anupam expressed, “I am deeply saddened and shocked to learn about the passing of one of my closest friends #PritishNandy! An incredible poet, writer, filmmaker, and a brave, unique editor/journalist. He was my pillar of support during my early days in Mumbai.”

He further added, “We had so much in common. He was one of the most fearless individuals I have ever met, larger than life. I learned countless lessons from him. Although we hadn’t met frequently lately, there was a time when we were inseparable! I will always remember when he surprised me by featuring me on the cover of a magazine, notably #TheIllustratedWeekly. He epitomized the essence of यारों का यार! I will miss you and our moments together, my friend. Rest in peace. #HeartBroken.”
