Mumbai, July 23 (NationPress) Renowned filmmaker Boney Kapoor shared a nostalgic image of his late wife, the iconic star Sridevi, captured before their union.
Boney took to Instagram to unveil a stunning monochrome photograph of Sridevi, showcasing her resting her head on a chair while flashing a radiant smile at the camera.
In his caption, Boney expressed: “Watching meeeee and smiling, this was before we got married.”
For those unfamiliar, Boney and Sridevi's love story blossomed on the sets of the 1987 blockbuster “Mr. India.” They exchanged vows in 1996 and were blessed with two daughters, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor.
Sadly, Sridevi passed away unexpectedly in 2018 in Dubai due to an accidental drowning.
This isn't the first instance of Boney sharing glimpses of his beloved wife; he frequently posts memories of her, reflecting on cherished moments.
In March, he reminisced about a beautiful memory involving Sridevi and Raj Kapoor. He shared throwback images of Sridevi receiving the 'Mr. India' silver jubilee trophy from Raj Kapoor.
In a delightful anecdote, Boney recounted Raj Kapoor's desire to cast Sridevi in his film, ‘Gungat ke Pat Khol’.
Boney noted: “Sri being presented Mr. India Silver jubilee trophy happily by Raj Uncle & in the third image, listening intently to Raj uncle, perhaps while he was outlining the plot of ‘Gungat ke Pat Khol’. I recall he mentioned it to me during our late-night discussions.”
He also revealed Raj Kapoor’s remark to his wife, Krishna Kapoor, upon meeting Sridevi: “Wait has been worth it.”
Boney added, “My mother is also present in the fourth image, where Raj uncle commented on meeting her, addressing Krishna aunty: ‘Wait has been worth it’ upon encountering Sri.”
