Brian May's Spouse Provides Health Update Following His Stroke

Los Angeles, Dec 5 (NationPress) Music icon Brian May, the legendary guitarist of the British rock band Queen, is currently recovering remarkably well after going through a “frightening” stroke.
His health is reported to have “stabilised”, and he has resumed playing the piano and guitar with the arm that previously lost mobility, as shared by his wife Anita Dobson, according to Mirror UK.
In September, the music icon disclosed that he unexpectedly lost control of his left arm and was immediately transported to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with a stroke.
Anita, aged 75, expressed, “He’s much better now, he’s stabilised now, which is brilliant. I just hope we don’t have any more recurrences. He’s got the use of that arm, which was a bit of a challenge, back now. So, yeah, he’s good to go now. He’s playing the piano quite a lot in the house. He likes a lot of Beethoven. I love it - the piano in the house is really, just very relaxing”.
According to Mirror UK, just a week after the “health hiccup”, as he referred to it, he confirmed that he could once again play guitar after realizing he “did not have any control of one arm”. Now, Eastenders actress Anita, known for her role as Angie Watts in the soap, mentions that Brian took some time before he attempted to play any instrument.
“He didn’t actually try until after he’d recovered quite a bit”, she stated at the TRIC Christmas Lunch, where she was recognized as a Legend and awarded for her contributions. “And then he very slowly started to pick up an acoustic guitar and gradually just exercised the muscles. It very quickly came back. He’s just retraining the messages from your brain to that arm, that it’s actually okay to do what it used to do. It was scary. And also being a genius for someone like that. His brain’s overloaded, that’s what it is. He’s too clever for his own good”.
At that time, Brian mentioned he felt “grounded”, stating, “I’m not allowed to go out - well, I’m not allowed to drive, not allowed to get on a plane, not allowed to raise the heart rate too high”.
However, he is now permitted to embrace excitement in life once more, and he and Anita are set to travel to Lapland this month to “meet the elves” for Christmas.
