Los Angeles, April 22 (NationPress) Music icon Bruce Springsteen described his visit to the filming of his upcoming biopic titled ‘Deliver Me from Nowhere’ as “interesting.”
In this film, Jeremy Allen White takes on the role of the celebrated rocker. Springsteen expressed his delight in visiting the set and observing how they recreated his grandmother’s home, as reported by femalefirst.co.uk.
During an interview on Variety’s Awards Circuit Podcast, he shared, “I was on tour for much of the filming, so a significant portion was completed without my presence. However, I was on set at times. It was fascinating to see it come to life, to revisit your grandmother’s house, and to step inside and experience the atmosphere of your early years. I relished every moment of it.”
The film centers around Bruce, 75, and the period he spent creating his 1982 album ‘Nebraska’, based on Warren Zanes’ book of the same title.
Springsteen explained why he approved the adaptation by director and writer Scott Cooper.
He mentioned, “They proposed the idea, and I thought it sounded like fun. It’s a captivating concept, as it focuses on just a couple of years of my life, specifically ’81 and ’82, during the making of that particular record while I was also recording ‘Born in the USA’ and dealing with personal challenges I’ve faced throughout my life. But it’s fantastic.”
The music legend previously commended Jeremy for his performance in the film.
While appearing on SiriusXM’s E Street Radio, he remarked, “He performs well. He sings exceptionally well. And with Jeremy Strong and Odessa Young, it’s truly a remarkable cast. They have beautifully cast the film, which is incredibly exciting.
“Initially, it was ‘a little bit’ strange, but you acclimate to it quickly.
“Jeremy is such an outstanding actor that you immediately get drawn in. He offers an interpretation of me that I believe fans will genuinely resonate with, and he has done an exceptional job. I've had a lot of enjoyment being on the set whenever I could make it.”
