Los Angeles, Oct 25 (NationPress) The iconic singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen may be gearing up for a sequel to his biographical film. The director of his latest movie, ‘Deliver Me From Nowhere’, has revealed that there are plenty of "chapters" in Springsteen's life that could inspire another film.
This film chronicles the creation of his acclaimed 1982 album ‘Nebraska’, featuring ‘The Bear’ star Jeremy Allen White, 34, stepping into the role of the 76-year-old music icon, according to Female First UK.
Director Scott Cooper mentioned that if he chose to, the Born to Run hitmaker could have multiple films dedicated to his life. This idea has been a topic of conversation between them, with Springsteen appearing enthusiastic about the prospect.
In a nod to Sam Mendes' upcoming Beatles series, he told Variety, “If you can create four Beatles films, surely a couple of Bruce Springsteen films are possible. There are numerous chapters in Bruce’s life that are ideal for cinematic exploration. We’ve had honest discussions about it, and I believe Bruce truly appreciates this film.”
He also added, “Bruce has cherished the experience. He feels at ease with someone recounting a very painful chapter of his life. You might want to ask him, but I think he’s open to more.”
Meanwhile, Allen White recently expressed his thoughts on the dual aspects of Springsteen's personality.
He shared with The Hollywood Reporter, "While I can study his performances and watch interviews, those are still public personas. They have a performative element to them."
“Regardless of how candid one is with the media, it doesn’t reflect how one converses with their family. I was faced with the same challenge of questioning, ‘Does this resonate with him?’ I had access to extensive footage, yet I couldn’t know how he behaves in solitude. There’s a sense of liberty, but it comes with its own doubts,” he added.
