What Did Channing Tatum Reveal About His Surgery Recovery?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Los Angeles, February 20 (NationPress) Channing Tatum, the renowned Hollywood star, has shared insights into his recovery following a recent shoulder operation.
On his social media, he unveiled a substantial scar that he initially believed would be “two small holes,” according to reports from People magazine.
“To be honest, it’s my fault for not inquiring. I thought it was going to be two tiny holes,” the Magic Mike actor, aged 45, noted in the caption accompanying a photo he posted on Instagram, weeks after his surgery for a separated shoulder.
“Clearly, that wasn't the case. Hehehe. Regardless, I appreciate scars and my shoulder is getting stronger each day, thanks to my doctor,” he humorously added. He also joked about the metal screw securing his bones, stating, “I enjoy going through airport security, wondering if my shoulder will trigger the machine.”
According to People, Tatum had previously posted an X-ray displaying visibly fractured bones, followed by an image of the large screw keeping his bones aligned.
On Tuesday, February 3, he shared a photo from his hospital bed as he readied himself for his surgery due to a “separated shoulder.”
The black-and-white image depicted the Step Up star in a hospital gown and cap. “Just another day. Another challenge. This one is going to be tough. But whatever. Let’s get it,” he wrote.
Although he did not disclose how the injury occurred, Tatum is recognized for performing many of his own stunts in his films. In September, the Roofman actor mentioned to Variety that he had sustained the injury while filming Avengers: Doomsday, which is scheduled for release in December 2026.
Reports indicate that during an interview, he appeared with a limp, necessitating his double to handle several of the more physically demanding scenes in the movie, as he was set to undergo extensive physical therapy for his leg injury.
He expressed, “I despise aging. In my mind, I’m still 30 years old, or 26, if I’m being honest.”
