Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Gouri Priya's Telugu romantic entertainer 'Chennai Love Story', directed by Ravi Namburii, is confirmed for a worldwide theatrical release on 24 July. The announcement was made by production house Mass Movie Makers on its official social media channels, ending months of anticipation from fans of both lead actors.

Sri Gouri Priya also took to Instagram to share the official date announcement poster, writing: 'July 24!!! Chennai Love Story releasing worldwide! Come fall in love!'

What the Teaser Reveals

An earlier teaser released by the makers offers a glimpse into the film's central dynamic. Kiran Abbavaram plays a character named Steven Sankar, while Sri Gouri Priya essays a character called Nivi. In the teaser, the two are seen in conversation at a beach, debating the nature of first love.

Nivi argues that first love is the purest form of affection and that all subsequent relationships lack its honesty. Steven Sankar counters philosophically, suggesting that if only first love is pure, then every individual's first love is their mother — and that for many of history's most celebrated couples, the love story that made them famous was not their first. He proposes that when a first love fails, one's best love is still ahead.

Sri Gouri Priya rose to prominence with the Tamil romantic drama 'Lover', which was both a commercial success and critically praised for its portrayal of toxic relationships. Her casting opposite Kiran Abbavaram — a familiar face in Telugu mass entertainers — has generated considerable buzz.
