Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, Jan 12 (NationPress) Actress Chitrangda Singh, who is set to appear in the upcoming film “Battle Of Galwan”, has praised the renowned superstar Salman Khan, referring to him as an instinctive performer whose extensive experience shines through in his work.
During her discussion about working with him, Chitrangda remarked that Salman does not depend on traditional methods of preparation; instead, his process develops naturally and subconsciously.
“Salman is one of those actors with immense experience. I don’t think he requires time in a room to prepare. It’s something that comes to him subconsciously,” she shared with IANS.
She noted that his grasp of a character evolves gradually, often unnoticed by others, despite the dedication he puts into crafting a role.
“He progresses slowly, and you may not even realize the effort he invests in embodying a character or playing a specific role,” she explained.
Chitrangda described him as deeply instinctual, highlighting that Salman deliberately avoids portraying scenes, lines, or emotions in a conventional manner.
“He is very instinctive, and I’ve observed that he tries not to portray any scene, line, moment, or emotion in a simplistic, predictable way, which is what makes it engaging and ensures you don’t tire of watching him on screen,” she added.
“He maintains freshness and spontaneity on set, so it was a delightful experience collaborating with him,” she concluded.
Regarding ‘Battle of Galwan’, the film focuses on the Galwan standoff between India and China on June 15, 2020, during the initial wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in India.
The confrontation occurred in the Galwan Valley, eastern Ladakh, as Indian and Chinese troops clashed. This incident was part of a larger border dispute along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). The violence escalated as both sides attempted to patrol disputed territories, leading to intense hand-to-hand combat.
The clash resulted in the loss of 20 Indian soldiers, with Chinese casualties also reported. This marked the deadliest face-off between India and China in over four decades, heightening tensions and prompting both nations to boost troop deployments while engaging in diplomatic discussions to prevent further conflict.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film is scheduled for release on April 17.
