Mumbai, Dec 24 (NationPress) Chitrangda Singh expresses that 2025 has been a remarkable year for her, filled with films that are as different as chalk and cheese, including “Housefull 5”, “Parikrama”, and “Raat Akeli Hai – The Bansal Murders”. She describes this year as a rare moment in an actor's career where diverse opportunities presented themselves naturally, without any prior planning or strategy.
Transitioning from the comedic realm of “Housefull 5” to the introspective emotional journey of “Parikrama”, and then to the complex moral dilemmas in “Raat Akeli Hai – The Bansal Murders”, Chitrangda has displayed her versatility across all three genres.
When asked if this variety was a conscious shift in her career choices, she shared with IANS: “I wish I could say that this diversity was intentional... a recalibration of my creative choices. Unfortunately, it wasn't.”
Chitrangda emphasized that she allowed her work to guide her, accepting projects as they came her way.
“It honestly unfolded one after the other. I didn’t foresee it happening in that manner or sequence. But it did, and I kept saying yes,” she remarked, recalling her acting debut in the crime drama Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi back in 2005.
She considers it a stroke of luck to work with acclaimed directors like Neeraj Pandey, Tarun Mansukhani, and Gautam Ghosh.
“I was genuinely grateful to have the opportunity to collaborate with such diverse filmmakers, whether it was Neeraj Pandey, who produced Khakee: The Bengal Chapter, Gautam Ghosh for Parikrama, or Tarun Mansukhani, known for a completely different style with Housefull, and then Haneet Rehan for Raat Akeli,” she added.
With exciting projects ahead, including Galwan alongside Salman Khan, Chitrangda feels this year has reinforced her belief in allowing work to flow naturally.
“Now with Galwan alongside Salman, it feels like one of those rare years where an actor has the chance to collaborate with such varied creators. There was no planning involved, and I can only express my gratitude to the universe for making this happen.”
