Demi Lovato Discusses the Challenges of Wedding Menu Selection
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Los Angeles, March 19 (NationPress) Singer-songwriter Demi Lovato has revealed her experience with wedding planning, particularly highlighting one aspect that felt quite daunting.
During the promotion of her new cookbook, One Plate at a Time: Recipes for Finding Freedom with Food, Lovato engaged in a discussion with influencer and author Eli Rallo about how her battle with an eating disorder influenced her cookbook and her recent marriage, as reported by People magazine.
"I believe it's indicative of my journey towards recovery from disordered eating and my eating disorder," she mentioned regarding her cookbook release. "It has taken a significant amount of time. The first time I sought treatment for an eating disorder was at 18. I've worked hard to arrive at this point, feeling comfortable with food and stepping into the kitchen.”
“This journey can be lengthy for many, including myself, but I am immensely proud of where I am and eager to share both my journey and the recipes we've crafted,” she added.
According to People, 33-year-old Demi Lovato married Jordan 'Jutes' Lutes, 34, last summer during a romantic ceremony in Santa Barbara, California, on May 25. The 'Heart Attack' singer elaborated to Rallo that the process of selecting the cuisine for their wedding was intimidating, but she was grateful for her husband's unwavering support.
"We were very specific about our menu during the tasting session, where the caterer prepared, I believe, 18 different dishes at my house," Lovato shared. "It was intimidating, yet I managed to get through it with the love and support of my husband, leading us to choose a few dishes we truly loved for our wedding.”
She expressed that her special day was a fantastic celebration.
