What Led Denise Richards to Endure Abuse in Her Marriage?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Los Angeles, Feb 21 (NationPress) Hollywood actress Denise Richards has revealed that the alleged mistreatment she faced from Aaron Phypers was akin to a "slow burn".
The actress ended her marriage last July after six years due to allegations of abusive behavior. Now, she has opened up about the pivotal moment when she recognized that there was "no hope" left for their relationship, according to reports from ‘Female First UK’.
While returning to the ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’, Denise was questioned regarding images of her black eye that were submitted when she sought a restraining order against Aaron, who has refuted all claims of physical abuse made in July.
Erika Jayne remarked, "I wanted to discuss the black eye I saw. That cannot be a one-time incident". Denise affirmed, "No, that's the truth. It began a while ago. It was a slow burn. My dad asked me, 'Why didn’t you tell me?' I replied, 'I can’t share this and remain with a person'".
As per ‘Female First UK’, Denise recalled enduring a seven-and-a-half hour operation during which Aaron assisted her to the toilet because she "couldn't even walk" independently.
However, while on the toilet, she alleged that Aaron attempted to grab her phone and "hit" her on the side of her head, leading her to "cry" when her drain collided with the toilet paper holder.
She reflected, "That's when I truly knew there was no hope of salvaging this marriage. I just wanted to recover from my surgeries; I almost postponed my second one, but I thought, 'I cannot endure what I went through'. Here I am".
Denise was also inquired about events on July 4, the date Aaron claimed they separated in his divorce filing. She responded, "That weekend was terrible. It was f** awful". The actress, who shares daughters Sami, 21, and Lola, 20, with ex-husband Charlie Sheen, as well as a 14-year-old adopted daughter, Eloise, alleged that she was struck twice.
