Los Angeles, July 8 (NationPress) Hollywood actress Denise Richards and her husband Aaron Phypers are set to part ways. The couple is concluding their marriage.
Aaron, aged 52, initiated divorce proceedings on Monday, July 7, after six years of union, as reported by People magazine. He stated their separation date as July 4 and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the rationale for their split.
According to the documents obtained by People, Aaron has requested spousal support from Richards, 54, and is seeking to maintain their assets and liabilities as separate property, which includes his power tools, motorcycle, and sports car.
The couple does not have any minor children, although Richards had previously mentioned that Phypers was in the process of adopting her daughter, Eloise, who is 13 years old. It remains uncertain if this adoption was ever finalized.
The actress first encountered her soon-to-be ex-husband while visiting a healing center in Malibu, where she was receiving “preventative DNA repair”. Their romantic relationship began in June 2017.
As reported by People, they kept their engagement under wraps and exchanged vows in a spontaneous ceremony in Malibu on September 8, 2018.
Before their relationship, Phypers was briefly married to Nicollette Sheridan, a star from Desperate Housewives. Their divorce was finalized in August 2018. Richards was also previously married to Charlie Sheen, with whom she was together from 2002 to 2006, and they share two daughters, Sami and Lola.
In a March episode, the couple discussed why divorce was not an option for them. “It's not easy being married to me,” Richards admitted, to which Phypers jokingly responded, “It is not, and she said it! But this is it. I'm done.”
Richards then remarked, “Yeah, I’m never getting divorced again. Even if we hate each other, I'm not gonna f** get divorced.”
