Chennai, April 16 (NationPress) The team behind director Dhanush's highly anticipated action film, 'Idly Kadai', departed for Bangkok on Wednesday to film a significant sequence of the project.
Actor Sathish, a cast member, shared images of himself with fellow actors on social media, captioning, "#IdlyKadai @wunderbarfilms @DawnPicturesOff @dhanushkraja sir. Enjoyable times @arunvijayno1 sir #Sathyaraj sir @rparthiepan sir. Our next stop, #Bangkok. @theSreyas #riseandshine."
Actor Arun Vijay also posted a photo of himself sitting between actors Parthipan and Sathyaraj on a flight, expressing, "Had a wonderful time with #Sathyaraj sir and @rparthiepan anna.. Great moments!!"
The film's producers had initially slated the movie for a global release on April 10 of this year.
However, they opted to delay the premiere.
Following this, Aakash Baskaran from Dawn Pictures, one of the film's production companies, mentioned in a media interview that the release was postponed due to 10 percent of filming still needing to be completed.
"We need to film this abroad. It features a group scene involving Nithya Menon, Arun Vijay sir, Rajkiran sir, Parthiban sir, Sathyaraj sir, and all the actors. We couldn't coordinate common dates for all the artists, which is why we couldn't shoot this combination scene. We wanted to avoid rushing, as the film has turned out exceptionally well," he explained during the interview.
The producer assured that this segment would be finalized soon.
Now, true to their word, the creators have set off to complete the remaining 10 percent in Bangkok and wrap up the film.
The new release date has been announced as October 1.
Sources indicate that Arun Vijay will portray the antagonist, and the confrontation between Dhanush and Arun Vijay is expected to be a highlight of the film.
The makers have also confirmed that Shalini Pandey will take on a significant role in the film, as had been speculated in certain media outlets.
'Idly Kadai', featuring Dhanush and Nithya Menon in leading roles, is directed by Dhanush himself. The film is a joint production of Dhanush's Wunderbar Films and Dawn Pictures, with cinematography by Kiran Koushik and music composed by G V Prakash.
