Chennai, April 4 (NationPress) The producers of director Dhanush's highly anticipated action film, 'Idly Kadai', have officially revealed that it will be released globally on October 1 this year.
On its X timeline, Dhanush's Wunderbar Films, one of the production companies behind the movie, announced, "The wait is over! See #IdlyKadai on the big screen worldwide from October 1st! A Film by @dhanushkraja. A @gvprakash musical! Produced by @AakashBaskaran and #Dhanush."
The film is co-produced by producer Aakash Baskaran's Dawn Pictures alongside Wunderbar Films.
Initially, the release was slated for April 10 this year; however, the team decided to delay it without specifying a new date.
Following the announcement, Aakash Baskaran explained in an interview that the postponement was due to the need to complete an additional 10 percent of filming.
"We need to shoot this in a foreign location. It involves a combination scene featuring Nithya Menon, Arun Vijay, Rajkiran, Parthiban, and all other actors. Coordinating schedules for all the artists was challenging, which resulted in the delay of this sequence. We didn’t want to rush since the film has turned out exceptionally well,” he stated.
Aakash Baskaran assured that this segment would be finalized soon and that a new release date would be announced shortly.
Now, as promised, the team has confirmed October 1 as the updated release date.
