Chennai, April 26 (NationPress) The filming of director Dhanush's highly anticipated action-comedy, 'Idly Kadai', has officially concluded, as announced by the production team on Saturday.

Recall that the film crew traveled to Bangkok the Wednesday prior to last week to film a vital scene that required the participation of the entire cast. Sources indicate that this sequence has now been successfully shot, marking the end of the film's production.

Dawn Pictures, the film's producer, shared a message on their X timeline stating, "It's time to call it a WRAP for #IdlyKadai. See you in theatres on the 1st of October. Exciting updates coming soon."

Initially, the team had set a worldwide release date of April 10 for the film. However, they decided to delay it. Following the announcement of the postponement, Aakash Baskaran of Dawn Pictures explained in an interview that the release was pushed back because an additional 10 percent of the film still needed to be shot.

"We need to film this abroad. It features a combined scene with Nithya Menon, Arun Vijay, Rajkiran, Parthiban, Sathyaraj, and all the main actors. Coordinating available dates for everyone proved challenging, causing the delay in this particular sequence. We preferred not to rush, as the film has turned out exceptionally well," he stated during the interview.

The new release date for the film was set for October 1.

Reports suggest that Arun Vijay will portray the antagonist, and audiences can anticipate a thrilling confrontation between Dhanush and Arun Vijay.
