Chennai, Sep 25 (NationPress) Actor Arun Vijay, who portrays the antagonist in Dhanush's upcoming emotional drama Idli Kadai, emphasizes that Dhanush remains authentic to himself, which is the key to his strong fan loyalty.
At the film's pre-release event in Madurai, Arun Vijay remarked, "Many believe it takes bravery for a hero to take on a villain's role. I disagree. After my stint as the villain in Yennai Arindhal, I searched for a compelling story featuring a villain but struggled until Dhanush proposed the character of Ashwin in Idli Kadai. The character's portrayal has maintained its strength throughout the narrative."
Arun Vijay highlighted Dhanush's talent, stating, "While everyone recognizes him as a remarkable actor, it was during his directorial role that I noticed many admirable qualities. Most importantly, he is a genuinely good person. He ensures the happiness of those around him, creating a comfortable atmosphere for the entire crew."
He shared some memorable moments, saying, "After shoot, Dhanush would often suggest, 'Shall we stop to eat at this roadside eatery, brother?'. We enjoyed roadside meals before continuing our journey. Those moments are unforgettable. He is incredibly humble and remains true to himself, which explains his dedicated fan following."
For those unfamiliar, Dawn Pictures, one of the film's production houses, had announced a worldwide release on April 10 this year, which has now been postponed to October 1.
Arun Vijay takes on the villain role alongside Shalini Pandey. Idli Kadai, featuring Dhanush and Nithya Menon in lead roles, is directed by Dhanush himself. The film is co-produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films and Dawn Pictures, with cinematography by Kiran Koushik and music by G V Prakash.
