Chennai, Feb 28 (NationPress) Music composer Harris Jayaraj has revealed that the much-anticipated action film Dhruva Natchathiram, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and starring Chiyaan Vikram, is set to release in April this year.
Harris made this announcement during a press event held in Coimbatore on Friday. He stated, "I believe I can share some exciting news today. Finally, Dhruva Natchathiram will be on screens next month."
He expressed confidence that viewers will be delighted, adding, "This is undoubtedly one of the finest films from Gautham Menon. We have waited a long time, and just a bit more won't hurt."
When asked if the prolonged delay might affect public interest, Harris responded, "Vaaranam Aayiram, which premiered 16 years ago, was re-released recently and received an overwhelming response. If a film that was already out can garner such enthusiasm, think about the reception Dhruva Natchathiram will get, having been completed five years ago and not yet seen by audiences."
He continued, "There’s a Telugu film called Orange, which came out in 2010. They've re-released it three times. The powerful allure of songs in a film is undeniable; great music can attract audiences to theaters, ensuring a film’s longevity. We are all very optimistic about Dhruva Natchathiram," said Harris.
‘Dhruva Natchathiram’, one of the most eagerly awaited films by renowned filmmaker Gautham Menon, will showcase Vikram in the role of John. This character leads a specialized unit known as the Basement, established in response to the Mumbai terror attacks. This elite team, composed of 10 highly skilled professionals and led by John, is designed to bypass bureaucratic delays and swiftly tackle any national security threats.
Alongside Vikram, the cast includes Ritu Varma, Radhakrishnan Parthiban, R Radikaa Sarathkumar, Simran, Vinayakan, Divya Dharshini, Munna Simon, Vamsi Krishna, Salim Baig, and Sathish Krishnan, among others.
The film boasts contributions from three cinematographers: Manoj Paramahamsa, SR Kathir, and Vishnu Dev. Editing is handled by Anthony, with lyrics penned by Thamarai and Paal Dabba. Art direction is led by Kumar Gangappan, and action sequences are choreographed by Yannick Ben, a Hollywood stunt expert.
