Is DJ Snake Returning to India for a Six-City Tour?

Mumbai, July 24 (NationPress) Celebrated for chart-toppers like Loco Contigo, Magenta Riddim, and Taki Taki, the Grammy-nominated French DJ and producer DJ Snake is gearing up for his third visit to India, embarking on a six-city Sunburn Arena tour this year.

The tour will commence in Kolkata on September 26, followed by stops in Hyderabad on September 27, Bengaluru on September 28, Pune on October 3, Mumbai on October 4, and will wrap up in Delhi-NCR on October 5.

DJ Snake's forthcoming album, ‘Nomad’, is set to launch this September. His impressive repertoire includes hits like ‘Turn Down for What’, the viral sensation ‘Taki Taki’, the beloved ‘Let Me Love You’, and ‘Lean On’.

In May, he made headlines by becoming the biggest solo electronic artist to sell over 100,000 tickets in mere minutes for his electrifying performance at Stade de France, followed by a legendary afterparty at Accor Arena. DJ Snake is renowned for his exhilarating sets that fuse trap, hip-hop, pop, Latin rhythms, and desi elements.

DJ Snake, born William Sami Etienne Grigahcine, initially gained recognition for his production work with various artists, including Pitbull’s “Shut It Down” and Lady Gaga’s “Applause,” before achieving widespread acclaim with his 2013 hit, “Turn Down for What”, featuring Lil Jon.

Released by Mad Decent, a division of Columbia Records, the single soared to number 19 on the French SNEP singles chart, reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100, and earned octuple platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America.

Additionally, the track received a nomination for Best Music Video at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards and secured the award for Top Dance/Electronic Song at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards.

His debut studio album, Encore, featured the Billboard Hot 100 top-five hit “Let Me Love You” and peaked at number eight on the Billboard 200. His follow-up, Carte Blanche, reached number 48 and was supported by the top 20 single “Taki Taki”.

He and Dillon Francis were announced as alternating supporting acts for the summer Mothership Tour 2014 alongside Skrillex. In March 2018, DJ Snake was ranked ninth on Billboard's list of top dance musicians, the Billboard Dance 100.
