A trailer released by the creators hints that the narrative will center around Subbu (Anupama Parameswaran), a woman from a village where a tradition mandates that women cover their faces with a Paradha. As the story unfolds, Subbu goes missing, leading to a series of misfortunes for her. The trailer indicates that the villagers believe a curse from the goddess has befallen them due to Subbu's disappearance and declare that no one is to assist her. The film ultimately depicts how she regains her strength with the help of two urban women.
'Paradha', produced by the acclaimed duo Raj and DK, known for their work on The Family Man, is financed by Vijay Donkada alongside Sreenivasulu PV and Sridhar Makkuva under the Ananda Media banner.
In addition to Anupama Parameswaran, the film also stars actresses Darshana Rajendran and Sangeetha in important roles, with Rag Mayur also contributing to this women-centered narrative.
