Mumbai, Jan 7 (NationPress) Actor Emraan Hashmi is on the brink of launching his new streaming series ‘Taskaree: The Smuggler’s Web’. He expressed admiration for the show’s thoughtful and realistic portrayal of heroism.

The series trailer debuted on Wednesday, showcasing an intense battle of intellect within government customs, where concealment is an art, intelligence is vital, and there are no chances for error.

Set against the backdrop of crucial smuggling routes in locations like Al-Dera, Addis Ababa, Milan, and Bangkok, Taskaree delves into the intricate mechanisms of international smuggling—an elaborate web woven from coded paths, deceptive documents, and strategic misdirection. At its heart is a specialized customs task force at the bustling Mumbai International Airport, led by a team of unwaveringly honest officers: Arjun Meena (played by Emraan Hashmi), Mitali Kamath (played by Amruta Khanvilkar), Ravinder Gujjar (played by Nandish Singh Sandhu), and Prakash Kumar (played by Anurag Sinha). These officers depend on both intuition and intelligence, aware that one overlooked detail can dismantle weeks of surveillance efforts.

Opposing them is Bada Chaudhary (played by Sharad Kelkar), who leads a formidable syndicate operating through layers of deception and global pathways engineered to evade detection.
