Mumbai, April 17 (NationPress) Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi discussed his forthcoming film “Ground Zero,” highlighting how the film pays tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of the Border Security Force (BSF).

The actor mentioned that the movie authentically portrays the commitment and courage of BSF personnel, with their real-life experiences and contributions forming the essence of the story. In an exclusive interview with IANS, Emraan expressed his profound respect for the Border Security Force (BSF) and stressed that the film honors their bravery and sacrifices. Addressing concerns raised by military members regarding their depiction in films, Hashmi assured that “Ground Zero” genuinely does justice to the BSF, placing them at the center of the narrative.

The 'Murder' actor shared with IANS, “From the outset, the BSF was involved in the film's production. We consulted them during the scriptwriting phase, incorporated their feedback, and documented everything with their approval. This narrative is about them—their courage, sacrifices, and lives. They are the core of the story. The entire film serves as a tribute to the BSF.”

When asked if any scenes required support from actual BSF personnel, the 'Tiger 3' actor acknowledged that the filming presented several challenges.

“Each day introduced new hurdles. I am drawn to roles that make me a bit anxious—because that fear drives me to excel. There’s always that thought on set: “I need to deliver something remarkable today.” That anxious energy keeps you focused. Portraying a BSF officer for the first time necessitated that I worked harder both physically and emotionally. The psychological state of a soldier—what they endure internally—was particularly tough to convey. But that's what ultimately comes through in my performance,” Emraan elaborated.

Emraan Hashmi is prepared to depict BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey in “Ground Zero,” an intense action thriller inspired by a significant mission—one that resulted in the defeat of Ghazi Baba. This operation is recognized as the BSF’s most successful endeavor in the past fifty years.

Directed by Tejas Deoskar, this highly anticipated film is scheduled to hit theaters on April 25, 2025.
