Mumbai, May 17 (NationPress) Choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan disclosed that she conveyed the ‘Happy New Year’ script to the stylish actor Jackie Shroff in a mere three minutes, as the star was primarily interested in knowing his wardrobe choices for the 2014 blockbuster.
Farah was accompanied by actor Vijay Varma on her YouTube channel, where they prepared dosas while discussing his new residence.
She inquired if Vijay aspired to enhance his “style quotient”, to which he responded: “I don't know. Maybe when I was a teenager, I had a fantasy of doing something like this with me. But then life happened and I fell in love with it.”
Farah further asked, “Who inspired your fashion sense?”
Vijay revealed that it was the iconic Shah Rukh Khan and Jackie Shroff.
“I always admired how Shah Rukh Khan presented himself. He had a casual yet appealing personal style, and Jackie Shroff possessed an incredible fashion sense,”
he remarked.
Reflecting on her collaboration with Jackie in “Happy New Year”, Farah recounted: “Jaggu da, I must share, when I approached him for Happy New Year, he didn’t ask for the script. Instead, he requested to know about his outfits. So, I spent an hour detailing his styling!”
“Happy New Year” is a heist comedy featuring a star-studded cast including Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani, Vivaan Shah, and Jackie Shroff.
In the film, SRK’s character Charlie gathers a team of non-dancers to participate in a dance competition at a hotel in Dubai while attempting to execute a diamond heist. Jackie portrays the antagonist.
