Gitikka Ganju Dhar from 'Tanaav 2': My Exciting Journey While Filming in Kashmir

Mumbai, Dec 18 (NationPress) Actress Gitikka Ganju Dhar has opened up about her time filming in Kashmir and provided valuable insights into the creative process that helped her fully embrace the character she portrays in 'Tanaav 2'.

Set against the intricate backdrop of Kashmir's complex geo-political situation, 'Tanaav' skillfully narrates a story filled with betrayal, loss, and unexpected alliances, captivating both audiences and critics.

The actress observes a significant evolution in her character, who faces challenges that heighten the narrative's intensity starting from the fourth episode. Her character shares the spotlight with Gaurav Arora, who plays the lead antagonist, Al Damishk.

Reflecting on her experience, she stated: "Working with Eshwar Niwas felt as seamless as pashmina," appreciating his unobtrusive directing style that enabled her to delve deeply into her role.

"Sudhir Mishra is the director every actor aspires to learn from; his ability to draw from an actor's core is exceptional. I feel fortunate to be part of a show directed by him. He truly channels one's energy and elevates a character from zero to 100," she added.

Despite the hurdles faced during filming, she fully embraced her experience on the show, shaped by the talented writers Sudhir Mishra and Adhir Bhat, and brought to life by directors Mishra and E Niwas.

"Actually, none whatsoever," she recalled.

Gitikka mentioned enduring a high fever and cold while shooting several scenes.

"The opportunity to film in Kashmir filled me with joyful anticipation. Additionally, Nafeesa's storyline intertwines with the lead negative character, Al Damishk, which was particularly rewarding, especially as part of an ensemble cast,” she remarked.

Her character's intricate nature demanded a delicate approach, courage, and integrity.

"This was all perfectly aligned with my strengths," she stated.

Discussing her collaboration with Gaurav Arora, Gitikka expressed: "It was fantastic, just what I needed! Being at the center of the action, I felt immense gratitude."

In addition to 'Tanaav', she has also appeared in Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan Productions' 'Laal Singh Chaddha' and the acclaimed series 'Aarya', featuring Sushmita Sen.
