Hema Malini Visits ISKCON Temple in Navi Mumbai Ahead of PM Modi's Inauguration

Mumbai, Jan 2 (NationPress) Esteemed actress Hema Malini recently toured an ISKCON temple in the Kharghar region of Navi Mumbai.
On Thursday, the actress shared images of her visit on Instagram, expressing her joy in a heartfelt caption. She revealed that the temple is set to be inaugurated on January 15, 2025.
She stated, “A beautiful creation is unfolding in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. ISKCON has established a breathtaking temple dedicated to the presiding deity, Radha Madanmohan.”
In her message, she also highlighted, “The realization of this temple is the result of the tireless dedication of Surdas Prabhu ji and numerous devotees and artisans who have worked diligently for ten years. I offered my respects at Kharghar on New Year’s Day and felt deeply fulfilled. The inauguration is scheduled for January 15, 2025, by the esteemed Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi Ji.”
Previously, Hema Malini took part in a rally aimed at promoting cleanliness. On Monday, she posted several images from the event on her Instagram.
In her caption, she mentioned, “At the Parikrama Marg in Vrindavan, I joined a rally of 200 children organized by Mayor Shri Vinod Agarwal and Municipal Commissioner Shri Shashank Chaudhary to raise public awareness about the significance of ‘swachata abhiyan’ or cleanliness and hygiene.”
On her professional front, Hema Malini has won the Mathura Lok Sabha constituency for the third consecutive term. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, she secured her Mathura seat with a significant lead.
She garnered 671,293 votes, while her closest competitor, Kunwar Narendra Singh, received 377,822 votes. The actress has studied Kuchipudi under Vempati Chinna Satyam and Mohiniattam with Kalamandalam Guru Gopalakrishnan. She has portrayed numerous dance roles, including Narasimha and Rama in Tulasidas's ‘Ramcharitmanas’.
In recognition of her contributions, the veteran actress was awarded the Padma Shri in 2000, which is the fourth-highest civilian honor conferred by the Government of India.
