Mumbai, Aug 20 (NationPress) Referring to himself as a “green crusader”, Bollywood’s beloved Jackie Shroff has revealed that his connection with plants has instilled in him a sense of patience and stability.

When asked about the influence of gardening and nature on his mental and emotional health over the years, Jackie stated to IANS: “Being referred to as a 'Plant Zaddy' is a title I cherish. Plants have taught me patience and have kept me grounded.”

“Plants truly elevate you as a person, bhidu. That’s a powerful sentiment, boss. My children and I share a profound love for plants, and that connection is invaluable,” said the actor, who proudly serves as the brand ambassador for Ugaoo, a gardening company.

Discussing the origins of his passion for plants, he noted: “I’ve been a green crusader for years, surrounded by plants and with soil on my hands. I even bring a sapling as my companion to events.”

He advocates for organic practices as much as possible.

“Currently on my farm, I’m all about sustainable agriculture and striving for organic practices. It’s all about clean eating, living close to the earth, and honoring our roots. Ugaoo is doing something remarkable: they aren’t just selling plants; they’re educating people on the why and the how… They’re disseminating knowledge, which makes our collaboration feel meaningful. Plants are enhancers of life, not mere decorations,” expressed the Bollywood star to IANS.

On the cinematic front, Jackie’s latest project is “Hunter 2”, where he plays the antagonist, 'The Salesman', in the second season of this action-packed drama.

In this series, the stakes are raised dramatically when Vikram receives a distressing call from his daughter, who was thought to be dead, only to find out she is with the mysterious salesman.

Directed by Prince Dhiman, in association with Alok Batra, this action thriller also stars Anusha Dandekar and Barkha Bisht in pivotal roles, among others.
