Los Angeles, May 14 (NationPress) Renowned Hollywood stars Samuel L. Jackson, Eva Green, and Maria Pedraza are uniting for the eagerly anticipated thriller 'Just Play Dead'. The film is helmed by director Gary Fleder, celebrated for his works on 'Homefront', 'Runaway Jury', and 'Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead', with the script penned by Dan Gordon.
The Highland Film Group is taking charge of the international sales rights and will be presenting the film at Cannes, as reported by 'Variety'.
In 'Just Play Dead', when the affluent criminal mind Jack Wolfe (played by Jackson) finds himself trapped by the authorities, he devises a scheme to stage his own death in order to secure a hefty $30 million life insurance payout with his supposedly “grieving” spouse Nora (portrayed by Eva Green), while simultaneously framing her surfer boyfriend Chad for his murder. However, Nora has her own sinister plans: to eliminate Jack for real, frame Chad, and keep the fortune for herself. As deception unfolds, both Nora and Jack race to outmaneuver each other, leaving the audience to ponder one burning question: who will emerge victorious in this intricate game of survival?
According to 'Variety', this film is a European co-production led by Phil Hunt of Head Gear Films, who is producing alongside Valentin Dimitrov, Sagiv Diamant, Moshe Diamant, and Gaby Whyte Hart, who also acts as casting director.
'Just Play Dead' is being executive produced by Arianne Fraser and Delphine Perrier for Highland Film Group.
