Los Angeles, Aug 31 (NationPress) Hollywood star Jacob Elordi has opened up about his portrayal of Frankenstein in the forthcoming film directed by Guillermo del Toro. In this adaptation, Jacob takes on the role of the Creature.

He described his interpretation of Frankenstein as "more me than I am," according to reports from Female First UK.

At a press event for the film during the Venice Film Festival on Saturday, the 28-year-old actor stated that he has channeled his entire being into the character. "I always waited for the movie to be created under the right conditions, creatively speaking, to achieve the scope necessary for me to make it distinct and to craft a world that could be fully reconstructed,” he explained.

Regarding his profound connection to the role, he mentioned, “It was a vessel into which I could pour every aspect of myself. From the moment I was born to this very day, all of it is represented in that character. In many respects, the creature depicted on screen is the purest reflection of myself. He’s more me than I am.”

Jacob also spent up to 10 hours daily in the make-up chair preparing for the role. He told Variety, "The costume has numerous layers. When he is born, he is nearly naked. His chest is exposed and his head is upright. As he begins to feel pain, similar to what we experience as teenagers, he starts to hunch his shoulders. Eventually, as an adult, he becomes more closed off."

Elordi shared that his golden retriever, Layla, accompanied him on set and was unfazed by his costume and prosthetics.
