Mumbai, Aug 14 (NationPress) Actress Janki Bodiwala, celebrated for her roles in ‘Vash’ and ‘Shaitaan’, is set to return in the highly anticipated sequel to her Gujarati film ‘Vash’. She revealed that observing and learning from cinema legends Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan, alongside Jyotika during the filming of ‘Shaitaan’, significantly equipped her for ‘Vash Vivash Level 2’.
The 2023 Gujarati supernatural thriller ‘Vash’ was a watershed moment for Gujarati cinema. This re-release season, the film is making its way back to theaters, premiering on August 22 in Gujarat.
The sequel, named ‘Vash Vivash Level 2’, features a talented cast including Hiten Kumar, Hitu Kanodia, Monal Gajjar, Chetan Daiya, and Prem Gadhavi. The film explores the deeper, darker elements of an ordinary family's encounter with a mysterious figure possessing enigmatic abilities.
For Janki Bodiwala, reprising her role in Vash Vivash after her performance in ‘Shaitaan’, this journey was more intense than ever.
Reflecting on her experience, she stated, “Honestly, just watching Ajay sir and Madhavan sir perform was akin to attending a powerful acting workshop each day. Their control, subtlety, and consistency are that of two masters. I brought that same restraint into Level 2, especially during the high-tension scenes.”
She continued, “Level 2 challenged me emotionally. The scenes were far more intricate and intense. Physically, it was more demanding, with moments that truly tested my endurance and composure. Krishnadev sir knows how to push my limits and ensured I didn’t fall into autopilot with this character. He insisted that I portray his grand vision on screen as realistically as possible.”
Produced by Kalpesh Soni and Krunal Soni and helmed by director and writer Krishnadev Yagnik, Vash Level 2 is set for release in Gujarati, while Vash Vivash Level 2 will debut in Hindi nationwide on August 27, 2025.
