Mumbai, July 31 (NationPress) Jason Momoa has transformed into an unrecognizable figure after shaving off his renowned beard for the first time in over six years, a change he openly expresses he 'hates'.
In a recent Instagram video, Momoa documented the moment he decided to shave, exclaiming, “God damn it, I hate it. It’s been about six years, maybe a little more, since I did Dune. That was a significant time as it marked the launch of Mononalu.”
He reminisced, “We were among the first to introduce the aluminum bottle, and now, six years later, with airports banning single-use plastics, it’s heartening to witness all these positive changes. Mononalu has undergone a significant evolution.”
Momoa elaborated, “Our current aim is to collaborate with Boomerang for a closed-loop system, focusing on eliminating waste and reducing emissions. Picture yourself in Hawaii, enjoying hotels that honor this vision. My objective is to completely eradicate single-use plastics.”
The actor remarked that this moment signifies “the kickoff for Dune 3,” the American epic space opera directed by Denis Villeneuve.
This film is the sequel to Dune (2021) and Dune: Part Two (2024), based on Frank Herbert's 1969 novel Dune Messiah. It features returning roles from Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Florence Pugh, and Jason Momoa.
In his post, the actor, famously known as “Aquaman,” stated: “After six years without a shave, here we are. I launched @mananalu to combat single-use plastics, and we’re now partnering with @Getboomerangwater to implement a closed-loop system that sanitizes and bottles water onsite.”
“This means significantly reduced waste and a smaller shipping footprint, with our aluminum bottles being reused continuously. This is the future, and it begins in Hawai’i. Let’s eliminate single-use plastics for the sake of our children and our planet. All my aloha.”
