Mumbai, Nov 21 (NationPress) Actress and theatre artist Juhi Babbar, the eldest daughter of iconic actor Raj Babbar, shared a heartfelt tribute to her parents on their golden jubilee of marriage.

Juhi posted a nostalgic photograph of a young Raj and Nadira Babbar, captioning it with heartfelt words. “... AND (NOT) just like that, they turned 50. Happy Golden Anniversary, Mummy Papa,” she expressed on her social media.

Earlier, Juhi's younger brother, actor Arya Babbar, also took to social media to celebrate his parents' remarkable 50-year journey together. He shared touching memories and acknowledged their love, stating, “Cheers to 50 years of love, laughter, and forever. Happy Anniversary, Mumma & Pappa. #happyanniversary #nadirababbar #aaryababbar #rajbabbar.”

A poignant black-and-white photograph showcased a youthful Raj and Nadira Babbar, evoking memories of their early days. Another image featured the couple alongside their children, Arya and Juhi Babbar, while a third captured the entire family radiating joy at an event.

For context, Raj Babbar and Nadira tied the knot in 1975, and after a period of separation, Raj married actress Smita Patil in 1983. Following Smita's tragic passing in 1986, Raj and Nadira re-established their bond.

Coming from different religious backgrounds—Raj being Hindu and Nadira Muslim—the couple initially faced significant pressure from Raj's family, who wanted Nadira to convert to Hinduism.

Raj is also a father to Prateik Babbar, from his marriage to the late actress Smita Patil. Prateik, like his parents, is an actor in the Bollywood film industry.
