Mumbai, Oct 21 (NationPress) Bollywood icon Kajol recently took to her social media platforms to showcase a delightful video of fans reveling and dancing joyfully at Maratha Mandir, as they celebrated the rerun of her legendary film Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. She captioned the post, "Still rocking it 30 years later..." and tagged Maratha Mandir. For those unfamiliar, this film is recognized as the longest-running movie in the annals of Indian cinema, having screened at the iconic theatre in Mumbai since its debut on October 20, 1995.

The movie marked its 30th anniversary on October 20, 2025, prompting Kajol to express her sentiments on social media with a touching caption. Alongside a poster of DDLJ, she wrote, "DDLJ completes 30 years today in time, but the way it has spread around the world and through everybody’s hearts and minds simply cannot be counted... Thank you all for loving it in this phenomenal way! (sic)"

Reflecting on the film's enduring affection and popularity, she also shared an image of a poster advertising a burger shop at a train station in Switzerland. The poster humorously stated, "Shah Rukh told Kajol in the ear, Let's go and eat some burgers." Kajol added, "Slide to see how far it really has gone … (Beaming face with smiling eyes emoji) @iamsrk #AdityaChopra"

For those who may not know, a significant portion of DDLJ, which was the directorial debut of Aditya Chopra, was filmed in Switzerland. The storyline follows Raj (played by Shah Rukh Khan) and Simran (played by Kajol) as they fall in love during a European vacation with friends.

Raj goes to great lengths to win over Simran's family for her hand in marriage, but fate has other plans, as Simran's father (played by Amrish Puri) has already arranged her marriage to his friend's son in Punjab.

Recently, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol performed the beloved songs from DDLJ at a special presentation for the recently filmed Filmfare Awards held in Ahmedabad. The movie also features Karan Johar in a cameo as Raj's friend.
