Amit Jani, producer of the upcoming film 'Kala Hiran', received a second death threat within 24 hours on 19 June, just hours after filing a complaint about an earlier threat with the police in Jodhpur. The caller, who identified himself as a fan of Salman Khan, allegedly threatened to murder Jani within three days.

The Second Threat: What Jani Claimed

In a fresh complaint submitted to the Jodhpur police, Jani stated that he received a threatening call on his mobile number at 11:06 PM from an unidentified number. According to Jani, the caller claimed to be a fan of Salman Khan and threatened to kill him within three days. Jani said the voice of the caller was recorded.

Sharing a picture of the complaint letter on X, Jani wrote: 'For the second time in 24 hours, I have been threatened with murder; the moment the first case was registered, the second threat arrived. I request the concerned authorities to kindly take the trouble of immediately registering a case and getting the person issuing this threat arrested.'

Earlier Threat Linked to Alleged Pakistani Terrorist

The second complaint also referenced an earlier threat that Jani alleged was issued by Shahzad Brahmadag Bugti, whom he described as a Pakistani terrorist. Jani claimed this individual had threatened him while siding with Salman Khan, and that he had already lodged a complaint about that threat at the same police station.

On 18 June, Jani had taken to X to allege that he was receiving late-night calls and messages from Shahzad Bhatti, whom he described as a declared Pakistani terrorist, threatening to kill him in a 'drone and grenade attack.' He stated he had informed the Ministry of Home Affairs, Rajasthan Police, and CRPF officials about the threats.

What 'Kala Hiran' Is About

'Kala Hiran' is based on the blackbuck poaching case involving Salman Khan. The film is described as being inspired by real-life events and centres on the Bishnoi community's saga of struggle. Jani has alleged that he has faced tremendous pressure to not release the film.

Notably, Jani also claimed that a hearing related to the 'Kala Hiran' case was held at the Delhi High Court on 18 June. He alleged that the threats were being orchestrated through a 'toolkit' linked to Salman Khan's camp — an allegation the actor's side has not publicly responded to, according to available reports.

Jani's Plea to Authorities

In his complaint, Jani expressed fear that the second caller could be a terrorist or an associate of Shahzad Brahmadag Bugti. He urged the police to register a case immediately and arrest the accused at the earliest, citing the three-day deadline mentioned by the caller.

Jani stated he is currently staying at No. 32, Ummed Heritage in Jodhpur. He had earlier said, 'Even if I am murdered, after my death, my team will release 'Kala Hiran' so that the world can see the Bishnoi community's saga of struggle and history of sacrifice.'

Police have not yet publicly confirmed whether a case has been registered on either complaint. The matter is expected to draw further scrutiny given the cross-border terrorism angle alleged by the producer.
