New Delhi, Feb 16 (NationPress) American rapper-songwriter Kanye West, now known as Ye, is gearing up for his inaugural performance in India on March 29.

The concert is scheduled to be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi. Attendees can look forward to a spectacular show featuring elaborate staging, cinematic visuals, top-notch acoustics, and a setlist that encompasses his extensive career, transitioning from iconic early hits to modern-day favorites.

Kanye's music is known for its dynamic stylistic changes and has played a crucial role in shaping the landscape for artists who break away from traditional gangster rap norms.

Originally from Atlanta and raised in Chicago, he left college to pursue music, initially working as a producer for Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records. He gained prominence with his distinctive “chipmunk soul” production style before launching his own recording career.

His debut album, The College Dropout, received widespread acclaim, while his follow-up, Late Registration, marked the beginning of an impressive streak with eleven US Billboard 200 number-one albums. He boasts five US Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles: “Slow Jamz,” “Gold Digger,” “Stronger,” “E.T.” as a featured artist, and “Carnival,” making him the first rapper to achieve this across three decades.

With sales exceeding 160 million records, West is among the best-selling music artists globally and ranks as the 13th most awarded artist at the Grammy Awards, holding 24 wins. Time magazine recognized him as one of the 100 most influential people worldwide. Rolling Stone included six of his albums—The College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation, 808s and Heartbreak, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, and Yeezus—in its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”, and honored him as one of the “100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time.”
