Upon arrival at the scene for investigation, Surrey Police discovered shattered glass and damaged windows.
Goldy Dhillon, a gangster claiming ties to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has taken responsibility for this attack.
In his social media post, Goldy stated: "Jai Shree Ram. Sat Shree Akaal, Ram Ram to all brothers. The firing that occurred today at Kapil Sharma's 'Kap's Cafe' in Surrey has been confirmed by Goldy Dhillon, affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang."
He further added, "We attempted to reach him [likely the target], but he did not respond, forcing us to take this action. If he remains unresponsive, we will proceed with another action soon, this time in Mumbai."
The motive behind this attack has yet to be disclosed.
To refresh memories, the recently opened Kap's Cafe in Canada was previously attacked on July 10, where at least nine rounds were fired. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.
Harjeet Singh Laddi, also known as 'Laddi Khalistani', an operative of the banned terror organization Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), claimed responsibility for the initial attack on Kapil's cafe.
Laddi asserted through social media that the attack was a response to remarks made about the Nihang Sikhs' attire during a television program hosted by Kapil.
Co-managed by Kapil's wife Ginni Chatrath, Kap's Cafe has received positive feedback from its patrons.
